September Gig Guide

We’re welcoming back a few familiar faces this September. Friday Night entertainment has never looked so enticing.

On the 1st of September, we’re welcoming back local legends Sons of Mercury to the O’Donoghues stage. These blokes will be ready to rip and tear come Friday night, with a set dedicated to Australian classics, and some newer tracks too. Last time we hosted these gents, the house packed from pillar to post. If you’re planning on having a feed before hand, it’ll be in your best interest to ring ahead.

For those of you aggrieved by the passing of rock legend and former Audioslave and Sound Garden front man, Chris Cornell we’re hosting a very special tribute set for him on the 8th of September. Our good mates from Royale with Cheese will be bringing all the best of the 90’s, plus a dedicated 45 minute set to Chris. These lads are performers from way back, and have put on some of the best shows we’ve had at O’Donoghues to date!

If any of you readers out there have been living under a rock for the last 6 months, we’ve booked Daryl Braithwaite for the 15th of September. We have some bad news though, we’ve completely SOLD OUT our ticketing allocation for what’s bound to be a ridiculously big night here at O’Donoghues. We’ve planned cocktails bars, and an extension into the carpark to facilitate such an event. Keep your eyes peeled for some bigger and better upcoming events, including hosting Dragon here at O’Donoghues in November.

The last two gigs of the month are absolute belters too! Some of the biggest bands we’ve housed here include Sound City and Seattle Sound, who are playing on the 22nd and 29th respectively. Both playing absolute classics and back to back bangers. You don’t want to miss this one, Penrith’s pub scene has never looked so musically gifted. Keep your eyes peeled for bigger and better upcoming events!
